![]() ![]() Honestly, I am to the point where I want to find out an honest answer: will they or will they not do anything? If it's just a matter of time then OK, that's all I need to know. By the time they get around to it these people will have made hundreds of thousands of gold through dishonest practices and flooding the AH with their crap. TBH, I am pretty sure for a GM it would take about 10 minutes to "make sure" that these are in fact bots. He said that they (Blizzard) "have to investigate the account 100%" to make sure they can ban them. What do you do when you encounter an obvious bot (some of them aren't this clear so are very easy to miss, but my point is about the blatant ones)? Do you report them, camp them, go about your business ignoring them?Īfter a few weeks of reporting and farming them for HKs I got a non-automated response in my in-game mail from a game master. Is it just my server? Is it just the Oceanic servers that are this bad? Or is it pretty much the norm now that bots are left to do what they do without any repercussions? I have played on many US servers before and met my fair share of botting but NEVER this many in this short amount of time on the same server. ![]() But to no avail: they are still back in 5-10 minutes and I simply don't have the time nor the desire to spend the little time I have available to play dealing with them. I have tried reporting them, I have tried ganking them, getting them really low and letting mobs kill them to take durability damage, mind controlling them off the cliff when they get close to the edge. They are once in a while joined by short-lived bots (a hunter and a warlock but those go away within a day or two). 3 of those bots (two blood dks and one ret paladin) farm pretty much 24/7 at the small cultist camp by Chillmaw in Icecrown. Well, in the past few weeks on my Oceanic server I have found a total of 8 consistent bots between only 3 zones of Northrend, considering I don't even visit zones other than Icecrown and Sholazar more than once a week. A couple weeks ago I made a post about the logic of reporting bots asking whether it is a waste of one's time or we have a responsibility to do it to keep the gaming environment "fair". ![]()
